Elizabeth Sytnik, Intern

Mental Health and Wellness Counseling Intern
You are the expert of your own lived experiences. In therapy, we will collaborate to explore what hinders you, to set goals, and to build skills that will allow you to flourish.
Reaching out for support and prioritizing yourself can feel difficult and overwhelming. I am here to provide you with nonjudgmental support, affirmation, and unconditional acceptance as you enter this journey of self-exploration. I believe that therapy should provide a positive space in which you feel safe in approaching the challenging work that we will take on together.
I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem issues, and women’s issues across the lifespan. I utilize a holistic, individualized, and collaborative approach when working with my clients. My use of an integrated therapeutic approach using Psychodynamic Therapy with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness allows for me to tailor our work together to best meet your needs and presenting problems. Within my approach I also believe it is important to account for personal strengths, values, and intersecting cultural identities.
